Defense Technologies Graduate Programme;

The Graduate Programme in Defense Technologies started accepting students for its Master's and Ph.D. programmes in the spring semester of the 2019-2020 academic year. As of the fall semester of the 2022-2023 academic year, 16 students have been graduated and programme continues its education with a total of 149 graduate students, 118 of which are master's and 31 doctorates. The Department of Defense Technologies is an interdisciplinary program that accepts students from various fields such as Computer Engineering, Electrical-Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials and Metallurgy Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Aerospace, and Aeronautics Engineering, as well as Engineering Fundamentals.

The course contents developed within the programme are structured to cover topics needed in the defense industry. Students enrolled in the programme could take courses from doctoral engineers working in defense industry companies every semester. The programme also conducts thesis studies focused on product-oriented research, often in collaboration with leading companies in the field. This allows students to have a chance of finding employment in significant defense industry organizations based on their thesis work.

About the Programme

If you want to take your place in the defense industry ecosystem and specialize in this field, we invite you to explore our Graduate Programme in Defense Technologies. Within the programme, enrolled students are provided with both academic advisors and industry advisors who work in the defense industry. Thus, during the thesis process, our students could go to the defense industries, when necessary, to work under the supervision of an industrial consultant and to find solutions to the problems on the spot. In line with the mission and vision determined by our university, the Department of Defense Technologies not only trains engineers who specialize in the field of defense industry, but also contributes to the sector and the academy with the projects it supports and carries out.

If you want to take your place in the defense industry ecosystem and specialize in this field, we invite you to examine our Defense Technologies Graduate Programme.
