Sivas is a city with two important universities and is known for being student-friendly and safe, accommodating over 50,000 university students.
Throughout history, it has been ruled by the Hittites, Assyrians, Lydians, Persians, Romans, Byzantines, and eventually Turks.
Sivas boasts numerous historical structures such as the Ulu Mosque, Çifte Minareli Madrasa, Şifahiye Madrasa, Gökmedrese, Buruciye Madrasa, Kale Mosque, Eğri Bridge, Atatürk Congress Museum, and the Divriği Ulu Mosque and Darüşşifası, which are listed as "World Cultural Heritage" by UNESCO.
Additionally, the ancient city of Sarissa houses the largest Hittite temples in the world, and Sivas is rich in terms of historical buildings like mosques, baths, caravanserais, bridges, and tombs.
Apart from its historical heritage, Sivas captivates hearts with its natural beauty, including Gökpınar Lake, Hafik Lake, Tödürge Lake, Sızır Waterfall, Şuğul Valley, hot springs, picnic areas, and the Yıldız Mountain ski center.
As part of the goal to transform Sivas into a cultural city, the Governorate hosts several newly opened museums, such as the Atatürk and Congress Museum, Archaeology Museum, Industrial School Museum, Sivas City Museum, Martyrs Museum, Gökmedrese Foundation Museum, Craftsmen Bazaar and Museum, and War Horses Museum.

Adjacent to our university campus, the Shopping Center provides services such as dining areas, shopping, cinema, Go-Kart, and play areas.
Under the protocol we signed with the Directorate of Youth and Sports, our students can benefit from sports facilities affiliated with the Ministry of Youth and Sports, such as the Taha Akgül Indoor Sports Hall and Olympic Swimming Pool, which are located right next to our campus.
Sivas 4 Eylül Stadium, located right next to our university, offers an alternative for entertainment on match days.
The heart of social life in Sivas beats in İstasyon and Atatürk Avenues, which are just 5-10 minutes away from our campus by bus. These avenues offer various facilities like cinemas, cafes, restaurants, and shopping spots.
Throughout the year, various events and concerts are organized at Muhsin Yazıcıoğlu Cultural Center and Fidan Yazıcıoğlu Cultural Center. Sivas State Theater reaches thousands of spectators with its performances at the Atatürk Cultural Center. Every year, Sivas hosts special theater groups' plays and various concerts that come from outside the city.
